Summary

The University of Adelaide was established in 1874 and is one of Australia's oldest universities. At the beginning of the 21st century the University had an enrolment of approximately 14,000 students. In 2023 the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia agreet to merge and commence operations in 2026 as Adeliade University.
