Summary

The Institution Award was established in 1963, by the Council of the Institution of Engineers, Australia, when it decided that a number of medallions may be awarded annually for papers deemed to make a notable contribution to the literature of the engineering profession.

The selection for awards was made from papers by members of the Institution published in the Journal of the Institution or Transactions during the year of the award.
