Abstract

A flexible method for the analysis of a system consisting of a solar collector, a lithium bromide-water absorption refrigerator and an air-conditioner is described. Basically developed for the design of a system, the method allows easy substitution of basic parts having different performance.
To develop the performance data for the refrigerator, a detailed analysis of the machine is made including the operation of the vapour-lift pump. Calculated performance of a particular .system is given when operated in a Western Queensland town on a typical "design" day.
