Abstract

The Council of The Institution has decided that Institution Awards for 1964 be made as follows:-

To Mr K E Andrews, BE MIEAust, Mr A R McIntyre, BE AMIEAust, and Mr R H Mattner, BE(Mining) AMIEAust, for their paper "Some aspects of high speed hard rock tunnelling in the Snowy Mountains ", published in the September 1964, issue of the Civil Engineering Transactions.

To Mr I L Pinkerton, BSc MIEAust, and Mr G Fekete,
BE(Berlin and Budapest) MIEAust, for their paper " Design and behaviour of Tumut 1 and Tumut 2 pressure shafts", published in the September, 1964, issue of the Civil Engineering Transactions; Mr L G Alexander, MSc (nonmember) recorded as a co-author.
