Summary

The Queensland Government's Department of Primary Industries was established on 26 September 1963, following a change in Government. The Department replaced the former Department of Agriculture and Stock. In 1996 the Department of Primary Industries (I) was re-named the Department of Primary Industries, Fisheries and Forestry.
