Summary

The Australian Institute of Agricultural Science was established in 1935 and incorporated in 1938. The Institute was formed by the collaboration of state branches to form a national body. In 1996 the memberships of the Institute and Agricultural Technologies of Australasia voted to merge, from 1 January 1997 being the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology.
