Summary

The CSIRO Chairman's Medal for Science and Engineering Excellence has been awarded annually since 1991. CSIRO's principal award, it recognises exceptional scientific or technological advances that contribute significantly to addressing major challenges facing Australia. Originally an award for individuals, it is now presented to teams of researchers.
