Summary
Dr Brian Dalrymple is a geneticist who's area of expertise is studying the genomes of bovine and ovine livestock in order to develop vaccines against common livestock diseases. He has worked at the CSIRO since 1985 and in 2012 is a Senior Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO Livestock Industries.
Details
In 2010 Dalrymple was awarded the CSIRO Chairman's Medal for Science and Engineering Excellence as a member of the Livestock Genomics Team (with Ross Tellam, James Kijas, Bill Barendse and colleagues), for research with two international consortia and scientific contributions dedicated to decoding the genomes of cattle and sheep, positioning Australia as a global leader in transforming animal agriculture.
