Howard Lovatt is an electrical engineer with a specialist interest in thermoelectrics and development of energy efficient vehicles. He was awarded the CSIRO Chairman's Medal in 2000 for his role as team leader in the CSIRO Hybrid Vehicle Program, which resulted in Australia's first Low Emissions Vehicles.
Details
In 2000 Lovett was awarded the CSIRO Chairman's Medal for Science and Engineering Excellence as joint team leader (with David Lamb and Tony Vassallo) of the Low Emission Vehicle Team, for the development of complete power-trains for two low-emission car projects.
