Summary
David King's work as a research scientist in the CSIRO Division of Textile Fibre Technology led to the development of high performance wool products Sportwool and OPTIMâ„¢. Since 2006 King has been working towards creating carbon nanotube yarns with the Future Manufacturing Flagship of the CSIRO.
Details
In 1998 King was awarded the CSIRO Chairman's Medal for Science and Engineering Excellence as a member of the OPTIM team, for the development of theOPTIMâ„¢ fibre process for the generation of innovative new wool fibres.
