Summary
The N. W. Jolly Medal has been presented by the Institute of Foresters of Australia since 1959, usually annually. It recognises contributions to Australian forestry across a wide range of fields, including research and development, sustainable management and use of forests, and forest policy. The medal commemorates Norman Jolly, Honorary Member of the Institute from 1935 to 1954, who made outstanding contributions to the management and development of Australian forests and professional forestry in the first half of the twentieth century.
