Summary

The Macfarlane Burnet Medal and Lecture is an award presented, usually biennially, by the Australian Academy of Science. First awarded in 1971, it recognises research of the highest standard in the biological sciences. Macfarlane Burnet, a Fellow of the Academy, was a virologist of international standing and a Nobel laureate.
