Summary

The Department of State Development and Resources (1993 - 1994) was an attempt to amalgamate the Tasmanian Development Authority (1984 - 1995), Department of Mines (1992 - 1993), Forestry Department (1921 - 1994) and Industry Services Division of the Department of Employment, Industrial Relations and Training (1989 - 1994). Due to legal technicalities the Department of State Development and Resources (1993 - 1994) became Tasmanian Development and Resources (1994 - 1998).
