Summary

Melissa Little is internationally recognised for her pioneering stem cell research on kidney development and renal regeneration. She is theme director of Cell Biology at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, Melbourne, and Program Leader at Stem Cell Australia. Her contributions to the development of science policy in Australia include membership of reviews that led to the doubling of the National Health and Medical Research Council budget and the establishment of the Medical Research Future and Biomedical Translation Funds.
