Summary
Established in 1929, taking over the work of the 'Australian Commonwealth Engineering Standards Association' and the 'Australian Commonwealth Association of Simplified Practice', the Standards Association of Australia prepared standards for all types of goods and services.
It received a Royal Charter of Incorporation in 1950.
In 1988 the Standards Association of Australia became Standards Australia.
