Summary
ANZIAM (Australian and New Zealand Industrial and Applied Mathematics) is a Division of the Australian Mathematical Society and until 1994 was known as the Division of Applied Mathematics. Its role is the advancement of applied mathematics in science, industry and business, and the promotion of research, the exchange of information and ideas, and education relating to applied mathematics. There are a number of special interest groups, including those for computational mathematics, mathematics in industry and mathematical biology. Awards presented by ANZIAM recognising research achievement and contribution to ANZIAM include the ANZIAM, E. O. Tuck and J. H. Michell Medals. The ANZIAM journal (ISBN 1446-1811) has been published since 2000.
