Summary
Troy Farrell is an applied mathematician whose research has considerable application in industry. He uses his expertise in physical chemistry and applied mathematics to develop sophisticated models particularly of biofuels, electrochemical nano-dioides, uptake of agrochemicals by plants, and coal-seam gas recovery. Many of his projects are conducted with the collaboration of industry partners. He is recognised as a world expert on the electrochemistry of batteries. Farrell is Professor andExecutive Dean of the Faculty of Science at Queensland University of Technology.
