Summary
The J. H. Michell Medal is awarded annually by ANZIAM (Australian and New Zealand Industrial and Applied Mathematics), a Special Interest Group of the Australian Mathematical Society. It recognises distinguished research in applied or industrial mathematics conducted in Australia or New Zealand by an outstanding researcher within ten years of completing their PhD. Recipients must have been members of ANZIAM for at least three years. The Medal commemorates John Henry Michell, F.R.S., who was Professor of Mathematics at the University of Melbourne from 1923 to 1928.
