Summary
The Mueller Botanic Society started in 1897 with the object of studying botany and related subjects, holding meetings, Conversaziones and field excursions, and forming a library. It was named after Victoria's Government Botanist, Ferdinand von Mueller. The Society's journal was the first such publication produced in Western Australia. In 1904 it transformed into the Western Australian Natural History Society (with which is incorporated the Mueller Botanic Society).
