Summary
The Pawsey Medal has been awarded annually by the Australian Academy of Science since 1967. It recognises outstanding research in physics by scientists up to 10 years since they completed their PhD. Joseph Pawsey, a Fellow of the Academy, established radio astronomy in Australia, making discoveries about solar radiation and sunspots.
