Person
Ostrikov, Kostya (Ken)
- Occupation
- Physicist
Summary
Ken Ostrikov is a physicist widely recognised as having pioneered the field of plasma nanoscience, making ground-breaking advances in plasma processing of nano- and biomaterials. His research has resulted in methods to generate self-assembled nanomaterials, nanoelectronic and photonic structures, and devices for future computer chips, solar cells, communications systems and biosensors. This work has potential application in the development of renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies. In 2015 Ostrikov became Leader of the Queensland University of Technology/CSIRO Materials Science and Engineering Joint Sustainable Processes and Devices Laboratory.
