Summary
The International Development Program of Australian Universities and Colleges Ltd. (IDP) was formed by a reorganisation of the Australian Universities' International Development Program in 1984. IDP increased the number of institutions supported to over thirty, in countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Brunei, Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific. During the 1980s the Program began recruiting students for Australian Institutions. 1994 saw the Program undergo yet another name change, becoming IDP Education Australia.
