Summary

Bob Rivett, AM BE ME FTSE HonFIEAust MAusIMM FASCE, was Chairman, Gutteridge Haskins and Davey Pty Ltd, from 1978 until 1986, and was previously a Director, Partner and Senior Engineer, after joining the practice in 1955.

He contributed significantly to the engineering profession, was elected President of the Institution of Engineers Australia in 1976, and served on its National Council and Queensland Division.

His distinguished contribution to engineering was recognised when he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 1992; was elected Honorary Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia in 1988, was elected Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering in 1987, and was awarded the John Monash Medal in 1982.
