Summary
The Australian Marine Sciences Association's Silver Jubilee Award (sometimes called the Jubilee Award) was inaugurated in 1988 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the Association. It is awarded, usually annually, to a scientist who has made an outstanding contribution to Australian marine research. Such contributions may include new insights into Australian marine environments and systems, developing a new field of study or new applications, or the invention of techniques now regarded as standard methods. Recipients are invited to deliver an address at the Association's Annual Conference.
