Summary

The Western Australian Government Railways, Tramways and Ferries oversaw the maintenance and administration of trains, trams, ferries and related infrastructure from 1946 until 1949. In 1949 this department was divided into two one responsible for trains, the Department of Railways [2] (1949 - 2000) and the Western Australian Tramways and Ferries (1949 - 1958).
