Summary
The Le Fèvre Medal is awarded annually by the Australian Academy of Science to recognise outstanding basic research in chemistry by researchers up to ten years since the completion of their PhD studies. From 1989 to 2017 it was named the Le Fèvre Memorial Prize. It commemorates the work of Raymond Le Fèvre, a Fellow of the Academy, who was Professor of Chemistry at the University of Sydney from 1946 to 1970. The Medal is presented at a Royal Australian Chemical Institute function.
