Summary

The CRC (Cooperative Research Centre) for Beef Genetic Technologies was established after a 7 year grant was awarded in 2007. It took the place of the CRC for Cattle and Beef Quality.

The CRC's areas of research expertise include: structural and functional genomics; bioinformatics; quantitative genetics; biochemistry; proteomics and meat science; molecular endocrinology; microbial gene expression; rumen ecology; parasitology; and animal welfare.
