Sir John Crawford was at various times Chairman of the Board, International Food Policy Research Institute; Governor, International Development Research Centre, Canada 1970-1980; Senior Agricultural Policy Adviser to World Bank, Washington; Chairman, Papua New Guinea Development Bank 1972-1974; Chairman, Technical Advisory Committee to Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research 1971-1976; Director, Australian Japanese Economic Research Project; and Chairman, Advisory Board, Australian Development Assistance Agency 1975-1977.
