Summary
Leslie Cowlishaw had a private medical practice at Lindfield 1919-1943. He was also a keen medical historian and collector of early medical works, and his library forms the Cowlishaw collection in the library of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Born 4 January 1877. Died 11 December 1943. Educated University of Sydney (MB, ChM 1906). General practice, Cooma 1908-15, war service 1915-17, private practice, Hornsby 1918, private practice, Lindfield 1919-43. Chief sponsor of a section on medical history and literature of the local branch of the British Medical Association and of a similar group at the Australasian Medical Congress 1929, honorary lecturer in medical history, University of Sydney from 1931.
