Summary
In 1973 the Commonwealth radiation Laboratory was renamed as the Australian Radiation Laboratory. The Laboratory continued the functions carried out by its predecessor. The Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency replaced the Laboratory in February 1999.
