Summary
The Minerals Council of Australia replaced the Australian Mining Industry Council in 1995. The Council is a national industry body and represents the Australian minerals industry. From their Web site, December 2001: "The Minerals Council of Australia represents companies involved in mineral exploration, mining and processing of minerals. Its activities are funded entirely by its member companies which, between them, produce 90% of Australia's mineral output."
