Summary

Established in 1854, Robison Bros. & Co. Pty Ltd were manufacturing engineers, brassfounders and coppersmiths. The company manufactured machinery used in the food industry, in Melbourne, during the latter half of the nineteenth century.

They installed the first telephone service in Australia in 1879, connecting their Flinders Street Office to their South Melbourne works.
