Summary
The Built Environment Sector was established in the mid-1990s and is made up of eight Divisions. In 2002 the Built Environment sector, then a Division, integrated with the CSIRO divisions of Construction & Engineering and Manufacturing Science & Technology to form the CSIRO Manufacturing & Infrastructure Technology (CMIT).
