Summary
CSIRO Manufacturing & Infrastructure Technology (CMIT) was formed in July 2002 through the integration of the CSIRO divisions of Building, Construction & Engineering and Manufacturing Science & Technology. The division's science is organised around ten core capabilities: Thermal and Fire Science, Fluid Dynamics, Metallurgy, Urban Systems Integration, Decision Systems, Optics and Diffraction, Ionic and Electronic Materials, Soft Matter, Interfacial Science, and Sensing and Interpretation.
