Summary
The Australian Association of Scientific Workers was established in 1939. The Association had divisions in the six Australian states and had a Federal Council, which consisted of two members from each state. In July 1949 the dissolution of the Association took place.
Because of its advocacy role, the Association was accused of being a communist
