Bibliography

The published literature examining the participation and roles played by women in Australian science, technology and medicine is substantive, dynamic and continually growing.

The Bibliography of History of Australian Science embedded in the Encycopedia of Australian Science and Innovation references published literature with links to the relevant people, organisations and other entries. Citations for this bibliography have been assembled from the work of many scholars but a singular source that resulted in the doubling of the number of entries relating to women in Australian science was Jane Carey's PhD Thesis 'Departing from their sphere: Australian women and science, 1880-1960', 2003.
