Summary
Arthur Farrer, CE MIEAust, was the Engineer-in-Chief of the Ballarat Water Commission and the Ballarat Sewerage Authority from 1919 until he retired in 1937.
He designed the Ballarat sewerage system, and oversaw its construction and operation.
Earlier in his career he was the City Surveyor and City Engineer for the City Of Ballarat.
He many years he was active on the committee of the Municipal Engineers Branch, Melbourne Division, Institution of Engineers Australia and was Chairman 1932 to 1933.
