Summary

Garrett Upstill's career has been in policy development and applied economic research into scientific issues. He worked with environment departments of the Commonwealth of Australia and as Principal Adviser to the Office of Chief Executive, CSIRO, before becoming Lecturer in Technology Management and Innovation at the University of New South Wales, Canberra. Since 2017 he has been an Adjunct Research Fellow in the Centre for Transformative Innovation at Swinburne University of Technology working on the history of CSIRO's engagement with industry, innovation and policy development.
