Summary
The Florey Medal has been awarded biennially by the Australian Institute of Policy and Science since 1998. Inaugurated to mark the centenary of the birth of Nobel laureate Howard Florey, the developer of penicillin, the Medal recognises significant lifetime achievements of an Australian biomedical researcher in biomedical science and/or human health advancement. Sponsors of the Medal have included CSL Limited (2010 - 2022), F. H. Faulding and Co. Ltd, and Merck Sharp and Dohme.
