Summary

Arthur Goudy, BCE CE, was Assistant Chief Engineer, Way and Works branch, Victorian Railways when he retired in 1934. He joined the Victorian Railways in 1887, and during his career assisted in the design of many important structures including: locomotive depots and workshops; the subways and roofs at Flinders Street Station; the Montague shipping shed; the replacement and strengthening of many railway bridges, including the Saltwater (Maribyrnong) River railway bridge 1915, the Moorabool railway viaduct 1918, and Flemington Road over bridge 1929.
