Summary
Michael Calver is a zoologist whose research has ranged over the population ecology of grasshoppers, bush flies, vertebrate pests in agriculture, and the impact of feral and domestic cats on wildlife. He has worked for CSIRO and the Agricultural Protection Board of Western Australia, and more recently taught zoology at Murdoch University. His involvement in biological education includes as Chief Examiner and Chief Marker for secondary school examinations. In 2011 Calver became a Fellow of the Royal Zoological Society of New South Wales.
