Summary
The Australian Bird Study Association (ABSA)was formed in 1977 as the successor to the Bird Banders' Association of Australia. With broader objectives than bird banding, the ABSA aims to support, encourage and promote the study of Australian birds and contribute to their conservation. The Association's journal Corella (ISBN 0155-0438) has been published since 1977 and includes reports on current research as well as on banding programs.
