Summary
Nuytsia (0085-4417) has been published, on an irregular basis, by the Western Australian Herbarium since volume 1, no. 1 (1970). It includes papers on the taxonomy, systematics and nomenclature of particularly the Western Australian flora. A significant proportion of that flora has been published in the journal. Occasionally it includes papers on historical aspects of Western Australian plants and their discovery. The monotypic genus Nuytsia is endemic to Western Australia and is known as the Western Australian Christmas tree.
