Summary
The Australian zoologist (ISSN 0067-2238) is the oldest Australian journal specialising in zoological topics, including, more recently, papers on ecological and environmental topics. It is the journal of the Royal Zoological Society of New South Wales and has been published (sometimes irregularly) since 1914. Early volumes included the proceedings of the Society: these have been published separately since 1934. In recent years it has been published by a commercial publisher on behalf of the Society.
