Summary
The Christopher Heyde Medal has been awarded annually by the Australian Academy of Science to recognise distinguished research in the mathematical sciences by researchers up to 10 years since the completion of their PhD. It is awarded, by rotation, in one of three fields: pure mathematics; applied, computational and financial mathematics; or probability theory, statistical methodology and their applications. The Medal honours contributions to mathematics by Christopher Charles Heyde, a Fellow of the Academy and Foundation Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences at the Australian National University.
