Summary
Wendy Hoy is an internationally recognised authority on kidney disease noted for her interdisciplinary research. Her studies of kidney disease in indigenous communities has had a significant impact on treatments for Australian Aborigines and globally. Hoy is Professor of Medicine at the University of Queensland and leads the Chronic Kidney Disease Centre of Excellence of the National Health and Medical Research Council.
