Summary

Alan Notley was a horticulturist who had a varied career in the United Kingdom and Western Australia. In 1969 he migrated to Western Australia. He quickly became familiar with the local flora in Australia. He joined the Western Australian Field Naturalists' Club in 1969 and was one of their most committed members. He served on council for over 20 years including three terms as President and 10 years as Editor of Naturalists news.
