Summary
In 2007 the Division of Manufacturing and Materials Technology, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and the Division of Industrial Physics were merged to create the CSIRO Division of Materials Science and Engineering (CMSE). By 2010 the CSIRO Division of Textile and Fibre Technology, the CSIRO Division of Forestry Bioscience and the Parkville and Clayton laboratories of the Division of Molecular and Health Technologies had all been incorporated into the CMSE. In 2014 CMSE was renamed the Manufacturing Flagship before the terminology of Flagships was dropped in 2015.
