Summary
The Australian Tropical Herbarium collection consists of more than 160,000 plant specimens, resulting from an amalgamation in 2008 of the CSIRO Atherton Herbarium, Australian National Herbarium (Atherton), the Queensland Herbarium (Mareeba) and part of the James Cook University Herbarium collection. In 2014 the Australian Tropical Herbarium joined other CSIRO natural history collections as part of the National Research Collections Australia.
