Summary
The National Research Collections Australia (NRCA) is home to well over 15 million natural history specimens used by "researchers, government and industry to manage and benefit from Australia's rich biodiversity" [from web site 21/11/2023]. NRCA was established in 2014 to bring together CSIRO's natural history collections. Constituent collections include: Australian National Algae Culture Collection, Australian National Fish Collection (located in Hobart, Tasmania), Australian National Herbarium, Australian National Insect Collection, Australian National Wildlife Collection, Australian Tree Seed Centre, and Australian Tropical Herbarium (located in Cairns, Queensland).
